Can I earn money from Google News?

A few weeks ago, I was browsing the web for something interesting when I stumbled upon an article about how people are earning thousands of dollars per month by simply copying and pasting content from other websites into their own blogs. It seemed too good to be true so I decided to give it a try myself. This is what happened after that...  I'm writing this right now because there's still no sign of my first check!

Now let me explain exactly how these people made all those extra income streams without having any clue in internet marketing but I'll also tell you why I don't believe they actually did.

So if you have never heard of them before, allow me to introduce to you two brothers named Michael Filsaime and John Reese who run one website called "FilaSale" which sells discounted designer clothes at up to 90% off retail prices. Their business model is simple - They buy high quality items from manufacturers wholesale and sell them online at huge discounts. In fact, their clothing is even more popular than many well known fashion designers like Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci and Prada.

Here is where the magic happens -- whenever someone clicks on one of the links on the Filasale website, instead of sending the visitor directly to the product page, it will send him/her to another webpage that says, "$100 Off Clearance Sale". On top of that, every time anyone makes a purchase through the link, the company gets paid either 50 cents via PayPal or $1 via Paypal Here depending on whether the customer chooses credit card payment over direct deposit. The key thing to note here is that each sale generates multiple commissions for both the company and the affiliate. For example, say you clicked on your friend Tom's link above while he was shopping for his wife. If you end up purchasing anything, your total commission would be $2 ($1 for you as an affiliate and $1 for FilaSale). Now imagine if Tom had 100 sales per day with only 10% clickthrough rate, that means you would get $20 in commissions per day. Not bad huh? You see, most affiliates struggle to earn 5$-$10 per hour working fulltime because their efforts aren't targeted towards generating massive amounts of traffic. But if you follow our methods below, you could easily earn hundreds of dollars per week without doing a single bit of promotion.

One way to generate massive amount of free traffic is to write articles and submit them to directories such as EzineArticles.com and ArticleBase.org. Once again, remember to include keywords related to your niche market in order to increase your chances of getting ranked higher in search engines. There are tons of great places out there for submitting articles such as GoArticles.com, Articlesfactory.com, ArticleSnatch.com etc.

Another way to promote products is to create review pages for specific brands within your blog. Whenever visitors come across your reviews, they might be interested in buying whatever item you're reviewing. Since we've already established earlier that the more sales generated, the more commissions earned, we should focus on creating review pages rather than regular static product pages since the latter is not going to bring us very many sales. We need to keep track of everything and monitor our results closely. Another advantage of reviewing certain products is that once a reader decides to purchase an item from your review page, chances are he/she has purchased similar items previously from others sites and therefore probably won't be back to browse your other posts. Therefore, it may help to provide users with relevant information regarding the particular products they're looking forward to buying. Remember to always add value to your readers' experience - Give useful tips, advice and recommendations to educate them better. A lot of bloggers tend to forget this important point. If you ever go back to visit some of the same blog comments, you'll find yourself reading stuff like "Wow, thanks for the tip!" or "Great suggestion!". These types of comments usually drive away potential customers. Be sure to use bullet points wherever possible to break down complex ideas into smaller sections. Also ensure that your blog offers valuable resources to your readers.

The third and final step involves promoting your newly created review pages on social bookmarking sites such as Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit, DelicioNet etc. Every time a user diggs your page or votes your button up, you'll receive 1 vote. So basically, the more popular your page becomes, the faster you'll start making real cash. As far as sharing goes, if you haven't figured it out yet, you definitely shouldn't share your private URL in forums unless they specifically ask for permission beforehand. Otherwise, you could face serious repercussions such as being banned altogether. Instead, find several unique ways to advertise your review pages such as adding banners to signature lines, embedding videos, images and icons onto your website etc.

Once again, remember to keep track of all your statistics carefully. Always analyze your data closely and take action accordingly. If your goal is to build passive income, you must know your numbers inside out. Do NOT quit your job until you absolutely feel comfortable with the process otherwise you risk losing precious capital especially if you choose to invest large sums of money upfront. Most importantly, DO NOT SPAM!!! Spamming is illegal and unethical. Please refrain from posting advertisements anywhere you'd normally hang out.

There are literally hundreds of different ways to make money online but I personally recommend affiliate marketing since it provides maximum control over your earnings. Affiliate programs are relatively easy to join and you can begin promoting a product immediately. However, it does require patience and persistence. Only when you continuously apply small steps consistently, will you eventually reap incredible rewards. More often than not, it takes months or years before you start seeing significant returns.
