Calendly's been around since 2014 but it has gained popularity in the beauty industry over time. The company provides an easy way to book appointments online using its web-based interface that allows users to schedule their clients' services without having to know anything about technology. It also offers integration with other platforms such as Apple Calendar, Outlook, Gmail, iMessage, Slack, WhatsApp, and more. In addition, there are integrations with popular apps like Houzz, Shopify, Square, Stripe, Fiverr, Paypal, PayPal Pro, Venmo, and many others.
If you're looking for a white label booking platform, then Calendly is one of the best options out there. But if you want to host your own website on your own domain name (like a.com), you can't use Calendly. You'll need to find another option instead.
Here we'll look at why you might choose to go this route, what you should do before doing so, and which third party tools will help make your life easier when setting up a new website. Keep reading below to learn all about it!
You may be asking yourself whether or not you can get a custom URL from Calendly. If so, then the answer is yes. However, this won't happen automatically. There is no special feature built into Calendly for customers to register their domains through them. Instead, they must first apply for an account in order to take advantage of the service. This means that most people who sign up for Calendly don't end up getting a custom URL because they aren't approved.
In fact, according to the Calendly blog post announcing the changes made earlier this year, only 10 percent of requests were successful. And even though the process had become less difficult compared to previous years, the success rate still wasn't great enough to warrant opening up access to everyone. As a result, those with a custom URL often have to pay extra fees to keep them active. For example, some charge $10 per month while others offer discounts depending on length of registration period.
This isn't ideal, especially considering that Calendly itself doesn't provide any type of payment processing functionality. So, unless you plan on accepting credit cards directly through Calendly, you'll likely need to find someone else to handle payments.
Google Schedule is available as part of Google Meet. It works similarly to Calendly. That said, unlike Calendly, Google Schedule does allow you to create schedules for events outside of Google Meet. The difference lies in the fact that it integrates seamlessly into Google Drive rather than being separate from it.
As far as features go, both products share similar ones including appointment reminders, event management, notifications, and more. They differ slightly in terms of design. While Calendly looks professional, Google Schedule feels more barebones. Still, regardless of these differences, Google Schedule and Calendly work very well together.
Yes, Calendly can connect with various types of calendars. What's important here is that each calendar needs to be set up correctly in order for Calendly to function properly. That means that you cannot just enter "TODO" in one location and expect it to show up somewhere else. Each calendar needs to be created specifically for Calendly.
For instance, you could create a weekly planner within Google Calendar that shows appointments coming up next week. Then, you'd need to link Calendly to that same calendar. Likewise, if you already have a regular calendar setup with a personal assistant, you would need to ensure that she knows where to send messages related to upcoming meetings. With Calendly, she wouldn't have to worry about sending emails or texts in advance. She would simply receive a notification whenever something was scheduled.
Also, remember that Calendly requires approval prior to becoming public. Once approved, anyone can see the details associated with that particular calendar. It's important to note that this approval happens after you've entered information into the system. So once you submit your request, you can begin working towards receiving permission to list your calendar publicly.
The cost of Calendly depends on several factors. First off, the price varies based on what kind of business you run. A small hair salon probably won't spend thousands of dollars every month on Calendly. On the flip side, a large corporation might. These kinds of businesses tend to have larger budgets and therefore larger requirements for managing client appointments.
However, the price shouldn't impact your decision to buy Calendly. Even if you decide to purchase a license for $20/month, it's still going to save you countless hours of effort. Not only will you avoid spending money on hiring employees and contractors, you'll also eliminate the hassle of dealing with emailing clients individually. Plus, it takes a lot of stress away knowing that everything is running smoothly thanks to automation.
And if you ever change your mind later down the line, you can always cancel your subscription. Just contact support and let them know you wish to close your account. They'll grant you full access back to whatever features you used previously for free.

1. White Label
White labeling is when a business sells products under another brand name so they can retain ownership of the product while still offering customers something familiar. This is similar to how some companies provide “white labels” for websites such as WordPress themes, plugins, hosting, etc.
In this case, we're talking about customizing Calendly by adding additional features and branding on top of what already comes with the standard account package. There will be no monthly fees involved because everything is included in the cost of our standard subscription plan.
The benefit of whitelabeling Calendly is that you'll have complete control over all aspects of the platform including design, functionality, and overall look & feel. You can create different pages and sections within each calendar to better serve your clientele. You can add new events, change existing ones, edit event descriptions, assign colors, and even set up payment options. All these things can be done through Calendly's admin panel, which makes it very simple to customize.
You don't need any coding knowledge to do this either. Just follow along step by step below!

Features Available With Whitelabelling
Calendly is the most popular service that allows people to schedule meetings on their own time. The main difference between other services like Zoom and Skype Meetings is that they are hosted in-app rather than being accessed via another website. This makes it easier for businesses to get started without having to build out a separate website or mobile app just for scheduling purposes.
In this article we’ll be looking at some of the benefits of using Calendly as a business and what you can do if you want to use Calendly to book appointments through your own domain name instead of going through Calendly's platform. We'll also look at which software works well with Calendly, and whether there are any downsides to using a third party solution.
There are several different types of scheduling systems. They range from simple online tools such as Google Calendar (which has its own issues) to more complex apps built specifically for scheduling events. The biggest benefit of these apps is often convenience – you get everything you need right within one place so you don't have to switch back and forth between multiple platforms and apps.
However, not all schedulers offer the same level of customization options. Some allow you to choose colors, fonts, logos, and even add images to your invitations. Others only let you set up basic information about your event. These differences will largely depend on the type of industry you're working in. If you work in healthcare, for instance, then you may want to make sure you pick a tool that offers enough flexibility to help your clients feel comfortable.
If you already know which kind of appointment scheduler would suit your needs best, then check out our guide to the top 10 best mobile appointment schedulers. But if you'd prefer something that doesn't force you to rely solely on mobile devices, read on!
Calendly itself isn't actually the scheduling tool. Instead, it connects to many widely known solutions including Zoho Meeting, Doodle, and Microsoft Teams. It lets you create meeting requests, send invites, view calendars, manage attendees, and much more. However, while Calendly does give you access to all of those features, it limits them to just one centralized location where everyone involved must log in.
This means that each person who wants to attend your meeting will need to sign up separately with Calendly first before they can join your scheduled event. While this might seem inconvenient, it has the advantage of ensuring that no matter what device someone uses to connect to the meeting, they won't lose anything important because they didn't enter their password correctly when signing up.
While Calendly gives you access to all of these features, it restricts them to one central area so that everyone involved knows exactly where to go to find all of the necessary information. When you start scheduling regular meetings, this becomes increasingly difficult since you have to remember to bring along all the relevant documents with you.
Instead, consider creating a link to the appropriate page inside your web application so that anyone who wants to participate simply clicks the link and gets taken directly to the form required. You could even include a button on your homepage that links users directly to their desired appointment. By doing this, you ensure that no matter what happens during the session, participants always end up back at the correct spot to continue interacting.
Using a single platform to host both your web and mobile applications ensures that everyone is using the exact same version of the code. This helps avoid confusion and keeps things running smoothly.
The answer here depends entirely on your personal preferences. There aren't really any major advantages or disadvantages either way. All three of the above mentioned companies provide very similar functionality but none of them are perfect. Each has pros and cons depending on what you're trying to accomplish. For instance, while Microsoft Teams' interface looks great, it lacks many of the advanced features available elsewhere. On the flip side, Zoho Meeting is designed primarily around desktop interactions rather than mobile devices.
You should try each option yourself and decide based on whichever suits your needs best. In addition, if you've decided to stay away from Calendly completely, you'll still need to figure out which platform you intend to use for your business. Fortunately, there are plenty of excellent alternatives to consider.
One particularly promising alternative comes in the form of Bookable.io. As far as I'm aware, this is currently the only company offering a fully customizable white label booking software solution. What this means is that you get complete control over every aspect of your new booking system, allowing you to integrate your branding wherever possible.
It also means that you can easily change how customers interact with the booking process whenever you wish. For instance, you could alter the color scheme or layout of your forms, or perhaps introduce additional fields that weren't part of the original design. In short, Bookable.io provides unprecedented freedom in terms of customization.
Another benefit of Bookable.io is that you can choose whether to charge monthly fees or pay per usage. Since you have full ownership over your entire system, you can easily determine what amount to charge for each user. For instance, you might think charging $20/month for unlimited sessions would be fair, but you might discover that people rarely ever exceed ten minutes once they get past the initial introduction. In this case, you can adjust your rates accordingly.
On the downside, Bookable.io is relatively expensive compared to competitors such as Zapier. That said, it does come with a 30 day money-back guarantee. So you can test it out and see if it meets your expectations before making a decision.
A scheduling software is essentially an automated system that manages the logistics surrounding various kinds of meetings. Most commonly, this refers to coordinating large groups of individuals to meet together regularly. A scheduling app usually handles all aspects of planning, facilitating, and managing the meeting itself.
For instance, you might schedule a team building exercise with members across the country. Or maybe you organize weekly sales calls with local representatives. Whatever your requirements, there's probably a scheduling app that can handle it.
Many professionals love Calendly because it provides an easy way to share schedules with colleagues and friends. Other people enjoy its simplicity because it removes a lot of stress from organizing meetings. Still others appreciate its ability to keep track of all details regarding upcoming events. And finally, some people swear by its ease of use.
Whatever reason you personally have for choosing Calendly, there are certainly plenty of reasons to reconsider. Not only does Calendly limit you to a single platform, it doesn't even support the creation of recurring meetings. As a result, if you want to plan annual conferences for your organization, you'll need to manually update your calendar for each subsequent year.
That said, Calendly is still worth considering if you haven't yet found the ideal scheduling solution for your particular situation. Its low barrier to entry, intuitive interface, and seamless integration mean that it remains one of the easiest ways to start scheduling meetings in 2019.
Calendar apps have been around since the early days of smartphones, but they've only recently started taking off in popularity thanks to their ease of use and simplicity. For business owners who want to offer scheduling services online without having to learn complicated code, there are plenty of options available -- including one called Calendly that's built specifically for small businesses.
As its name implies, Calendly works as an appointment-scheduling service where users can create events from scratch, schedule them on demand, and receive alerts when appointments come up. You can even book recurring meetings through it. If you're using Calendly to manage clients' schedules, however, you'll need more than just a simple event scheduler. You may also be looking to integrate Calendly with other tools like Google Calendar so you don't have to switch between different programs when creating new appointments.
In this article we'll go over everything you need to know about Calendly, starting with what makes it unique among booking platforms out there today. We'll then explore its features and benefits before moving onto some tips for getting setup quickly. Finally, we'll take a look at whether Calendly is right for you if you'd rather not deal with the hassle of setting up your own server.
While Calendly isn't exactly cheap (it starts at $10 per month), it does provide several perks which make it worth paying for. The first perk comes down to convenience. With Calendly, all of your client information is stored within your account instead of being sent across the web every time you want to update something. This means your customers won't have access to any private info unless you give them permission to do so. It also helps prevent spam because people will have to verify themselves if someone tries to sign up under another person's real email address.
Another advantage to working with Calendly is that your clients can easily set reminders for upcoming events. Since Calendly uses push notifications, you don't have to worry about checking back later to see if someone has booked an appointment. Instead, your client receives a notification immediately after making an appointment. And while most companies would charge extra for these types of features, Calendly gives them away as part of its subscription package for free. If you find yourself needing additional functionality beyond those two perks, you might consider trying out Booking Manager Pro, which offers similar conveniences but costs less ($5/month) and includes advanced features such as integration with Facebook and Slack.
The company behind Calendly is called Calendly LLC, but aside from a few legal disclaimers, the website doesn't reveal much else about them. What little information they do share suggests that they're a relatively young startup based in San Francisco, California. According to Crunchbase, they were founded in 2014 and are backed by 500 Startups and Y Combinator. They also claim to have raised $7 million in venture capital funding. As far as I could tell, none of this was confirmed on the official website.
Based on the limited evidence available, it seems likely that Calendly is still pretty new. In fact, according to Apptivo CEO Chris Wray, they weren't always known as "Calendly." Before launching their actual product, they made a number of different names until finally settling upon Calendly. However, unlike many startups, they haven't had trouble scaling their operations. Their headquarters alone reportedly employs over 100 employees, and they currently operate offices in nine cities worldwide.
That depends entirely on whom you ask! While some investors believe that Calendly is currently too expensive for smaller businesses, others feel differently. One investor told TechCrunch that he believes Calendly provides enough value for its price tag. He explained that his company pays upwards of $1,000 monthly for a single employee, and said that Calendly allows him to save money by avoiding hiring dedicated staff members.
However, it should be noted that Calendly doesn't actually help save anyone money. That's because it requires users to pay for each day of the week separately. So while your customer might think he's saving money on hourly rates, he ends up spending more overall due to the large upfront cost. Still, if you're able to get your customers to agree to a long term contract, it might be worthwhile.
One thing that sets Calendly apart from competitors is its focus on mobile devices. Most calendar apps work best on desktop computers, but Calendly excels on both Android phones and iPhones. On iOS, your guests will be able to view their calendars on their device itself, allowing them to check and respond to invites right from their phone. Users can also choose to link their accounts directly with Gmail so they can keep track of their future appointments via their inbox.
On Android, the interface looks almost identical no matter which type of smartphone you're using. All of your data appears as cards inside a grid, so it's easy to browse and search for upcoming reservations. When you click on a card, you can edit the details and add notes. A handy feature lets you send your guest invitations straight from the main screen.
When comparing it against the competition, Calendly definitely stands out. Like BookingManagerPro, it charges a flat rate of $9 per user per month. But whereas BookingManagerPro limits you to 10 users, Calendly lets you host unlimited numbers of guests. Your maximum capacity is capped at 150 attendees, though, so you probably shouldn't expect to reach that limit anytime soon. Additionally, Calendly supports multiple languages and currencies, integrates with popular cloud storage providers, and boasts a robust API.
A lot of these features aren't necessary for a basic personal calendar, but they certainly enhance the experience. After all, why bother hosting an entire platform if you can't support everyone who needs it? Even if you never plan to expand past a handful of clients, keeping your existing ones happy is important. Plus, it's nice knowing that you're offering your customers a quality alternative to traditional services like Outlook or iCal.
With that said, Calendly is still missing some key features compared to competitors. First off, you can't import your own contacts. Instead, Calendly relies completely on third party sources to fill its database. Second, it's unclear exactly what kind of security measures Calendly takes to protect your privacy. There's nothing stopping you from sharing sensitive information with your customers, so you'll want to review their terms of service closely to ensure you understand what you're agreeing to. Lastly, although Calendly claims to have over 50 integrations, the list doesn't include anything notable.
There's really no reason not to use Calendly if you already have a solid internet connection. Just log in once and start adding events! Unlike many hosted solutions, Calendly doesn't require you to build your own infrastructure, so you don't have to worry about servers crashing or dealing with constant maintenance. Also, since Calendly stores all of your client information locally, you'll never lose your data again.
But if you'd prefer to run your own system, there are several reasons why you might want to avoid Calendly. First, Calendly is fairly pricey compared to competitors. While that might seem like a good idea now, it could end up costing you thousands of dollars in the years ahead if you ever decide to upgrade. Additionally, Calendly is designed primarily towards busy professionals with lots of scheduled appointments. If you tend to book fewer appointments on average, you'll probably struggle to justify the expense.
Finally, Calendly lacks important features that you might miss if you rely solely on them. Unlike BookingManagerPro, you can't upload your own contact lists or organize your calendar with tags. And if you're planning to grow larger than 20 guests, you'll either need to increase your monthly fee or buy a bigger plan. These shortcomings mean that you'll need to weigh the pros and cons carefully before deciding whether Calendly is right for you.
Just follow our battle-tested guidelines and rake in the profits.
