Do you want to know what your next click will earn you from Amazon? If so, then here’s everything you need to know about finding that elusive link.
Amazon has many different links you can use in order to promote products on their platform. These include product pages, sale notifications emails, ads, banners, and even search results. The most popular type of link used by affiliates is the “associate” link which allows users to make commissions through clicks generated via this special URL.
The good news is, there are plenty of ways to find those links! They can be found on any number of websites, apps, and online services all over the web. This article outlines some of the best places to look for them, along with how to identify whether or not they’re legitimate.
An Associate Link is a unique link that starts with https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/path/. It looks like this example when opened in Chrome: It’s a short string of characters (in this case, ‘https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/path/) separated by slashes (also known as forward-slash). Once clicked, this link redirects to the main page of Amazon. You won’t see any other content besides the Associates landing page itself. However, you may notice that this link also includes additional information such as the program name, commission rate, and more. In fact, it’s important to note that these links work differently depending on where you’re viewing them. Links located within text messages sent out by Amazon are typically called “mobile links” while ones appearing on desktop sites are dubbed “desktop links.” Keep reading below to learn more about both types of links.
There are several options available for finding your own Associates link. Below we outline three of our favorites – but keep in mind each of these methods have pros and cons, so choose wisely before diving into one option.
1) Head to your Amazon account on a computer or phone browser. Click on My Account at the top right hand corner of the screen followed by Settings & Affiliates. Scroll down until you reach Sales Channels and select Associate Program. A new window should pop up showing you your current Associates ID and associated email address. Copy and paste the latter into another tab or document to save for later reference.
2) Go to your Amazon homepage. On mobile devices, tap Menu icon " More Services" followed by Associates. From there, scroll down past the section labeled “Links & Content Sharing” and copy your own Associates ID and corresponding email address.
3) Open your favorite Google search tool and enter “(your affiliate id here) + [link]”. For instance, typing “[email protected] + amzn” into Google would return your own personal Associates link as well as links belonging to thousands of others.
4) Sign up for Amazon Associates using either your existing email address or create a brand new one. When prompted, opt to receive periodic updates regarding promotions and sales. Then visit your dashboard under Your Profile & Preferences. Next, go to the Promotions section and locate the Associates Marketplace button. Tap Activate now to start earning money immediately. Be advised however, that only US residents can participate in this particular program.
5) Log onto your Amazon account and head to the Partner Center section. Locate the Partners & Sponsors category and hover above the dropdown menu bar. Select New Partner and follow the instructions provided. Make sure to input the correct details including your company name, contact info, business state or province, and tax identification number. After entering your data, wait for approval before proceeding further.
6) Visit the Amazon partner directory. Enter your desired keyword phrase into the search field and hit Search. From there, you can browse various categories and filter your results based on location, revenue share percentage, language, and more. Alternatively, try browsing the entire site.
7) Check out the Amazon Associates Mobile App. To access this feature, download the free app. Swipe left across the home screen and select Add Product. Input your keywords and press Continue. A new screen will appear prompting you to log in first. Follow the prompts to complete your registration.
8) Browse the Amazon Associates website. Under the Programs & Features heading, you’ll find a subheading entitled Marketing Tools. Click on it and explore the various tools offered including the ability to send promotional emails directly from the interface.
9) Use the Amazon Associates RSS Feed Reader. Simply type “rss feed reader” into Google and enjoy access to numerous feeds containing useful articles and posts related to promoting products on Amazon.
10) Download the Amazon Associates app for iOS or Android. Both platforms allow you to easily scan QR codes displayed throughout the store. Scanning one will automatically launch your default browser, opening up whatever webpage contains the code.
11) Visit the Amazon Associates Facebook Page. Like us on social media and check out recent posts featuring tips, tricks, and offers.
12) Create a YouTube channel and upload videos discussing your preferred niche market. Each video must contain a link directing viewers back to your Amazon storefront or blog post.
13) Share relevant content on Instagram and Twitter. Posting photos and engaging with followers is great way to gain exposure among potential customers.
14) Subscribe to newsletters and alerts sent by Amazon. Most companies offer free subscriptions to these programs, allowing subscribers to stay updated regarding upcoming deals and promotions. Some require payment though.
15) Join forums dedicated to promoting ecommerce products on Amazon. Popular communities include /r/AmazonSales, /r/AmazonBusiness, and /r/AmazonAuction.
16) Get involved with local groups dedicated to selling items on Amazon. Local sellers often meet up and discuss tactics behind growing their businesses on this platform. There’s no shortage of opportunities for networking and collaboration.
17) Attend events hosted by third party vendors who specialize in marketing goods sold on Amazon. These events usually occur once per month and last anywhere between 2 hours to 2 days long. Not interested in attending physical meetings? No problem. Many vendors host virtual gatherings exclusively for members of the community.
18) Participate in live Q&As conducted by Amazon executives. These sessions provide a chance for individuals to ask questions pertaining to specific topics relating to their industry. Participants also stand the opportunity to win prizes during these events.
19) Find a mentor. By signing up with an established firm offering assistance with building your digital presence, you’ll be able to connect with someone knowledgeable concerning the ins and outs of running a successful business on Amazon.
20) Consider working part time on the side. While full-time jobs remain in high demand, freelancing is becoming increasingly common due to its flexibility. Working remotely provides a sense of freedom and independence while still affording you the possibility of earning extra income. Plus, you’re likely to experience less stress than you would if you worked multiple shifts every day.
21) Build a mailing list. Sending automated emails to people interested in purchasing certain products helps generate interest and increase traffic to your site. Try sending personalized emails highlighting specific benefits of buying from your shop instead of competitors.
22) Become a member of the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature credit card. Aside from providing perks like two-day shipping and unlimited photo storage space, this financial institution also rewards shoppers for spending money on Amazon purchases. Every qualifying purchase earns you points redeemable towards future purchases.
23) Set up a referral system. Invite friends and family to join your team and help build your following by sharing your Amazon stores with them. Encourage everyone to spread the word about your shop by posting reviews and sharing positive comments on social media.
24) Take advantage of Amazon's affiliate program policies. As mentioned earlier, you’ll find a variety of ways to monetize your efforts. One method involves signing up for the Associates Program and participating in sponsored campaigns. Another involves creating your own branded merchandise and selling that instead.
25) Buy a domain name and hosting package. Hosting refers to the server infrastructure responsible for storing files. Domain names refer to the URLs that direct visitors to said servers. Buying a domain name and hosting plan gives you greater control over branding and appearance.
26) Start blogging. Blogging allows you to publish articles detailing your knowledge of your chosen niche market. Readership numbers tend to skyrocket after publishing regularly. And don't forget to link back to your Amazon storefront whenever possible.
27) Develop a strong social media strategy. Creating profiles on platforms like LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, and Snapchat can help boost visibility and attract followers. Additionally, you may consider joining influencer networks like #GrammyMoms and #ShopifyMom.
It’s no longer enough to have your own personal blog. Nowadays, people are more likely to go online and search for what they want without even thinking about going through traditional methods like Google searches. If you are using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc., chances are that you will come across many brands and products being advertised there too. This has made consumers become hyper-aware of their spending habits. They know where they spend money and whether those purchases are worth the price tags. If you don't already have an Amazon Associates program set up, then now would be a good time to start considering this option.
In fact, according to Statista, by 2022, around 2 billion users worldwide will visit websites with an AMZN domain name each month. That means almost half of all internet traffic will originate from domains owned by Amazon. And this trend is only expected to grow further into the future. With so much competition out there, why not turn it into profit instead? By joining Amazon Affiliate Program (AMP) and becoming an Amazon Associate, you could earn commissions every time customers make purchases after visiting your site/blog. In addition, you also earn commission when referring others who join the program to the same platform.
The best part about earning commissions via Amazon is its ease of use. All you need is a simple clickable link which directs visitors to the product page of whatever the item purchased is. The only thing you need to worry about is making sure that the links you create are legitimate ones and that they direct them to a genuine product. There are several ways to check whether an Amazon link is legit. For example, you can look at the URL of the link itself before sharing it anywhere. Or you may just follow these steps if you want to confirm that the link works properly.
To begin with, log into your existing Amazon Associates Account. You should see a screen similar to this once you've logged in successfully:
After logging into your associate account, scroll down until you reach the “Link Sharing" section and click on "Add New Link". On this new window, enter your desired title, description, category and subcategory. Then choose the source type – either "Blog", "Website", "Mobile App", "Video" or "Product". Finally, select the appropriate region within the world map and press save. Once done, you'll receive a confirmation email containing instructions regarding how to activate the link.
Once activated, you can simply copy the code provided in the confirmation email and paste it wherever necessary. To ensure that the link does work, try pasting the link onto any other website and see if you still receive a notification stating that the link was shared successfully. It might take some time for the link to appear on your dashboard but rest assured that it eventually will.
Another way to add another person to your Amazon Associates account involves creating two separate accounts: One for yourself and another for whoever you wish to invite. After having created both accounts, proceed to following these steps:
Go to the Dashboard tab located under the My Associates box. Click on Invite People button followed by Add Member. Enter the user details required and fill in the additional information if needed. Press Save Profile.
Now, go back to the Dashboard tab and click on Create Offer. Choose the Associate Type – whether it's Blogger, Website, Mobile App, Video or Product. Next, select the Region and Country where the offer is valid. Select the Category and Subcategory of the product that you'd like to promote. Lastly, pick the Price Range and the Discount amount for the promotion. Press Finish. Your invitation request will be sent to the member you chose to invite. When he accepts, your partner will automatically be added to your profile along with his full contact info.
You can easily share your Amazon affiliate link with anyone on your contacts list. Just tap on Share link icon available near the bottom right corner of your device's home screen. From here, you can select the method you wish to use to share the link – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Email, SMS, Social Networks etc. Tap on Send to send the link to whomever you want.
An Amazon affiliate link looks like a normal web address starting with https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00.... However, unlike a standard web address, an Amazon affiliate link contains an extra tag called "assoc_trackingid="xxxxx" ". This unique ID tells Amazon which particular product you were trying to purchase. Whenever someone clicks on your link, Amazon sends this tracking id to your account and uses it alongside your referral data to determine how much commission your referrer earned from that transaction.
So, whenever you share your Amazon affiliate link to friends or family members, they must remember to include the tracking ID mentioned above, otherwise they won't receive credit for referrals. Amazon says that you can track the performance of your link by checking your Referral Credits Report. This report lists all transactions performed by an individual and allows you to view detailed stats including earnings, sales volume, conversion rate, and commission paid per sale.
There are lots of benefits associated with becoming an Amazon Associate. Not only will you earn recurring revenue each time somebody makes a purchase from your referred product, but you can also monetize your content while doing so. As long as you keep your content fresh and relevant, you can be rewarded handsomely for promoting anything related to Amazon. Whether you are selling physical goods or digital services, it doesn't matter because Amazon pays out regardless.
Links are pieces of text placed in between two web addresses (URL). A URL is basically a string of letters and numbers that identifies a website address. For example, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C8DV4S6.
When users click on these URLs, they take them directly to the websites mentioned within them. Links help keep information organized by directing readers from page to page which makes browsing the internet much easier than having to navigate manually. It also helps direct the reader towards specific pages based on keywords used. The main purpose of linking is to provide value to both parties involved – the author who shares his content and the reader who uses the links provided in exchange for something valuable. That something could range from freebies to discounts but most often, it involves clicks on ads. The benefit lies with the publisher when he gets paid each time a user clicks on the ad and the advantage goes to the advertiser because they get more traffic to their site. In short, everyone wins!
As a blogger, you may not generate any revenue from advertising alone so having an associate account allows you to monetize your existing audience via sponsored posts and other promotional offers.
You can earn additional income by sharing your Amazon Associates ID with others.
You can create custom landing pages for customers to purchase items on Amazon at a discount.
You can earn commissions by referring friends to Amazon.
You can promote your books & ebooks by promoting certain related products on Amazon.
You can receive commission for selling some items on Amazon.
You are probably familiar with Amazon. It’s one of the biggest online retailers, selling everything from books to electronics. But did you know that they have their own brand of products too? They call them ‘Amazon Basics’. You may be surprised to hear this but Amazon also sells household items like washing powder and dishwasher tablets. Their range includes more than 10 million different products so there really doesn't need to be any excuse not to buy something! If you want to sell your very own product then you'll need to join the ranks of Amazon Associates - otherwise known as 'affiliates'.
A lot has been said about Amazon over the years – some people love its customer service while others don’t care much for it at all. However, there’s no denying that the company does make money out of every sale made through its websites. For example, each time someone buys a book via Amazon, they pay 2% commission to the seller (the author). The same goes for other goods sold by Amazon such as clothing, toys, electronics, etc. This means that an average person could potentially earn thousands of dollars per year just by using Amazon to purchase things from around the internet. Sounds good right? Well, not quite.
To become a member of Amazon Associates program, you will need to register yourself first. Once registered, you will receive links which enable customers to click onto your product pages and complete transactions. By doing so, you will benefit financially because you will receive commissions based on sales you generate. If you create a compelling landing page for potential buyers, you might even end up earning tens of thousands of dollars per month. So what kind of stuff should you put on these pages? How the heck would we know!?
At least, not without help! There are several ways where you can learn exactly how to set up a successful Amazon Associates page. In fact, here are nine tips that most sellers use when trying to figure out how to promote their products effectively.
1) Make sure your images look professional
This sounds simple enough but unfortunately many sellers fail to take advantage of this crucial step. Your image needs to stand out among the rest and draw attention immediately. A well-designed and appealing photo is essential in order to entice customers into buying your item. However, keep in mind that having too many pictures is never a good idea. Customers won't appreciate being bombarded with tons of images all at once. Rather, focus on making only two or three main photos appear on your listing. Try to avoid adding unnecessary ones that would distract your visitors from focusing on your primary goal.
2) Use relevant keywords
Keyword research is vital for any marketing strategy. Since search engines prioritize relevancy, you must ensure that your listings include the correct keyword phrases. Take note of popular terms related to your niche and craft your titles accordingly. As far as possible, try avoiding long words and instead opt for shorter versions whenever you can. Remember that Google pays less attention to longer sentences compared to short ones. Therefore, try to write in plain English and leave out complex descriptions. Keep in mind that Google tends to rank sites higher if the content contains useful information for users rather than simply stuffing keywords everywhere.
3) Write engaging copy
Copywriting is another important aspect of creating effective landing pages. Always remember that writing is an art form. You shouldn't rush into writing as soon as you've decided upon a particular topic. Instead, spend time reading articles written by experts within your field and see whether you can incorporate similar ideas into your own work. Also, consider incorporating quotes, metaphors, and analogies wherever necessary. These techniques often prove helpful as they tend to grab readers' interest instantly. After all, who wouldn't want to read something intriguing? Just make sure that you aren't plagiarizing anything and always cite sources whenever needed.
4) Create enticing headlines
Headlines are incredibly powerful pieces of text that can either boost or decrease conversions. That is why you absolutely need to make them catchy yet informative. Avoid using overly aggressive language since excessive negativity isn't likely going to attract anyone towards your site. On top of that, you should strive to emphasize benefits instead of drawbacks. Also, keep your headline focused on one single message. Don't try to cram multiple issues into one sentence. Lastly, don't forget to provide a clear CTA button. Ideally, your visitor should be able to quickly grasp your offer and decide whether they wish to proceed further. Otherwise, chances are high that he/she will move away from your page altogether.
5) Offer free samples
Many consumers prefer purchasing physical objects rather than digital files. Thus, offering free samples is highly recommended. Of course, you should always respect copyright laws and refrain from distributing copyrighted material. Nevertheless, providing free samples is still beneficial especially if you plan on promoting branded merchandise. To maximize your exposure, make sure that you place your sample alongside prominent visuals. Moreover, you should give your visitors ample space to interact with your product before requesting payment details.
6) Provide easy checkout options
It's understandable that you would want to minimize the number of steps involved in completing a transaction. Fortunately, there are numerous tools available today enabling merchants to automate processes thus saving time. With the advent of eCommerce technology, the process of shopping online has become significantly easier. Most importantly, you should remove obstacles preventing visitors from checking out. Remove unnecessary fields from forms and simplify navigation throughout your store. Ensure that payments go smoothly regardless of device used.
7) Track conversion rates
Always monitor how frequently visitors convert into paying customers. This way you will be able to identify areas needing improvement and adjust accordingly. When you notice that certain elements lower the overall conversion rate, eliminate those distractions and concentrate on improving the remaining aspects. Pay close attention to which pages drive traffic and which ones cause abandonment. Then, determine why visitors abandon your site. Is it due to poor design? Or maybe bad SEO practices? Either way, fix whatever problems exist and improve your performance again.
8) Test new promotions
When launching a new promotion, test various strategies until you arrive at the best method. Experimenting with new methods helps you understand how customers respond to specific offers. This allows you to refine your tactics and increase profits. For instance, you can conduct surveys asking questions regarding demographics and interests. From there, you can devise unique campaigns targeting individuals with similar characteristics. Alternatively, you can conduct tests involving paid ads. This lets you gauge the effectiveness of various advertising mediums.
9) Add tracking codes
Tracking codes allow you to monitor user behavior. Using analytics software, you can track clicks, views, bounces, and conversions across multiple platforms including desktop computers, laptops, smartphones, and tablets. This enables you to gain valuable insights into your audience and adapt accordingly. Furthermore, you can measure the impact of promotional efforts and changes made during development stages. Tracking codes also enable you to analyze data collected from previous projects and compare results against current metrics.
Once you have created a great looking page, you will need to submit it to Amazon for approval. While you wait for your application to be processed, you can easily access your dashboard by signing in with your existing credentials. Within your dashboard, click on Account Settings " Affiliate & Promotional Information. Now, scroll down to the bottom section and click Edit next to Linked Accounts. Enter your Amazon ID, password, and email address. Click Save Changes, and you are done!
If you'd like to completely revamp your landing page, you can choose between editing your homepage or changing your entire URL. First, select which domain name you want to use. Next, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click Customize Website under Options. Finally, enter the desired URL in the box provided and hit Submit Change.
Although Amazon provides plenty of features to help you optimize your business, you will eventually need to log in regularly to check your stats. Luckily, accessing your dashboard is super convenient thanks to the handy Mobile App and Web apps. Before logging in however, you need to install both applications on your smartphone.
