That being said, if you already have a niche topic area established, it's possible to convert your site into a blog just by editing certain elements. However, if you plan on expanding beyond that particular subject, you may want to switch to another platform that specializes in blogs.
Wix is one of the best website builders out there. It's easy, intuitive, and free. You can build an entire site with it in just minutes without any coding skills required. The downside is that most people don't know what they're doing when building their own websites—and this leads them to miss opportunities like monetizing their sites through affiliate programs or displaying ads. We recommend starting small by creating a new page called "Blog" under Pages " Blogs & Portfolio. Once you add content to this page, you'll be able to edit it whenever you want. We also encourage you to keep adding more pages over time so that you end up having multiple tabs within Wix where you can manage different aspects of your blog (e.g., posts vs. products).
Let's take a look at how to start setting up your very own Wix blog.
To begin, go into Settings " Designers and select Blank Page. Then click Create New Tab. A pop-up window will appear showing several options such as Website Builder, Blog and Shopify. If you choose Blog, scroll down until you see Web Hosting Services and then expand that section. Click + Add Service. In here, type in the address of your domain name, followed by.com. Now enter your hosting provider's details, including username and password. Make sure to check Domain forwarding and automatic DNS management before clicking Save Changes. Finally, hit Continue.
You should now find yourself back on the main screen. Go ahead and repeat these steps again for another tab called Posts. When you finish configuring both of those tabs, you'll come across another option labeled Blog. Select this, and follow the same process above to fill out everything else except your URL. Instead, type in wixurl.com/yourblognamehere. Hit Save Changes after entering the final piece of information. Your blog tab will automatically redirect to your newly created Wixpage.
If needed, you can change the title of your blog page by going to Settings " General " Site Name. To switch between designs, simply open the dropdown menu next to Home Screen Layout Options and pick either Classic or Minimalist.

It's important to note that while Wix allows users to place images directly onto its homepage, you may not always want to display photos. For example, if you sell items online, images of said items are probably better off being placed elsewhere. One way around this problem is uploading files via Upload Studio, which gives you full control over image placement and other file formats.
